Deirdre Visser is an artist and an educator. She currently teaches at Mills College and the California College of the Arts, both in Oakland, California. Course content includes all levels of photography, digital imaging and photographic history and criticism. Her own photographic work addresses the social history and transformation of the landscape. She is also interested in non-traditional approaches to cultural production and cultivating collaborative relationships with communities. Deirdre received her MFA from the University of California, Irvine, in 2000. |
